Snipe1 spent large part of his teenage years in the U.S., where he was
captivated by the NYC graffiti in early 90s. After coming back to Japan in 1994,
he left his home country again to see different cities around the world. The trip was full of discoveries including the discovery of his own creative mission.
The artist, however, struggled finding any place in Japan that was ready to appreciate his creativity and was forced to pave an underground career path.
The installation is presented under “snipe1,” one of the several street art monikers of the artist who recently launched his missionary endeavor to reach out to more people so they know the stagnant mood surrounding the Japanese graffiti scene today. In addition, in recent years snipe1 have produced many huge collaborative works with Takashi Murakami, and those huge works have been exhibited in the USA, Russia, France, Hong Kong and etc. He is an abstract graffiti lover whose mad world freewheelingly unfolds through numerous mediums including paintings.
This will be Snipe1’s first exhibition in Bangkok. Stay tune for more info.
